Easy Peasy Perfect Poached Eggs (In Bacon Marmite Red Wine Reduction)

OK It Was Overcooked. But The Concept Is Sound!

I would like to say that I’m pretty well chuffed at the success of my very first attempt at doing poached eggs, but since “chuffed” means “taking it up the ass”, I can’t. But I would say I am pleased as punch like a cat with cream on its whiskers.

Of all the egg poaching methods, this is the cleanest, least weird smelling and easiest way to do perfect poached eggs.

It is said that the editor of a newspaper often regrets that he has but one front page. I share the pain because there’s just too many alternate titles that I would like to use for this food blog entry. “Fried Egg On Training Wheels” comes to mind… perhaps it’s just as well there’s only space for one title.

Anyway, this is an easy experiment that does not require carefully controlled environments such as when Mrs. Blog is not at home.
