She was talking about Moules Frites for a while now. So I proposed doing Moules Marinière (with frites of course) but I had some confusion with Moules à la Provençale which is basically Moules Marinière with tomatoes and (more) herbs.
She’d also found a nice recipe for a nice Tomato Galette (I had proposed doing David Lebovitz’s Tomato Tart but I’m easy…) The other agenda was to practice doing pan-fried duck breast for Joan’s home-coming dinner.
Be here or be a very large brassiere.

It all started when Simon commented that the Bak Kut Teh (BKT) in Singapore is nothing but pepper pepper pepper and a bit of garlic, quite unlike the version you get in Malaysia which is flavorful with a dark liquor.
This sparked an outraged Tony who decided that Simon’s view has to be corrected by experiencing one of the best Bak Kut Teh restaurants in Singapore.

O Hai! Trying to organize a dinner and would like your opinion on how much you’d pay for dinner at a nice Italian restaurant?
I’m thinking of a starter, a pasta course, a main (choice of vegetarian or meat), a dessert and coffee or tea.
Let me know! Also feel free to sound off other suggestions by commenting.

I am making Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream. The question is how to incorporate the blueberries into the ice cream. There’s the option of just mooshing the blueberries into the ice cream or (which I usually do) buy an organic blueberry jam and layer the thing in. But ever since Cheryl made cherry sauce for our cheesecake, I thought it would be a great idea to do the same thing with blueberries.
