I was at a private dinner tasting a newly designed ale paired with some great Hainanese food and I noticed that the design on my plate was really elegant.


Curious, I flipped the plate to take a look…

I was very relieved when they replaced it with normal China. I’d hate to break people’s stuff, especially something as nice as this.

It is supposed to be display and show you at the beginning of the dinner. If they don’t replace it after a while, the purpose is solely to distract you from their cooking. Heehee.

Yup! Yup! Unfortunately it was lost on most people as the food and beer was really distracting. 😉
