The Obama Inauguration Lunch Menu

Naturally there will be dissenters, but it looks like they are going all out to link Obama with Lincoln from the china to the bible to the train route. I hope they stop at organizing theatre performances.

Seafood Stew
paired with Duckhorn Vineyards,
2007 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley

A Brace Of American Birds (pheasant and duck) served with Sour Cherry Chutney and Molasses Sweet Potatoes
paired with Goldeneye,
2005 Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley

Apple Cinnamon Sponge Cake and Sweet Cream Glace
paired with Korbel Natural “Special Inaugural Cuvee”,
California champagne

Very traditional American (I never knew pheasant and duck were American birds though; I just thought almost everyone has them). While the potatoes look intriguingly good, can’t say I’d go for the Sour Cherry Chutney though; my mouth is puckering at the very mention.

Recipes can be downloaded here.
